Description

The core mission of the network is the shared exchange of expertise, knowledge, and leadership which advances the creation of safe and ‘care-full’ inpatient care environments. Inherent in this mission is the emphasis on therapeutic relationship building, proactive prevention and early resolution of potential conflicts, and minimization of all forms of coercive interventions and/or restrictive practices. The network respects both empirical and practice based knowledge, and proceeds on the values of collegiality, collaboration, mutuality, equality and co-creation, underpinned by the principles of a joint action research methodology. This integrative approach, which balances theory, practice, and structured reflection, maximizes the potential for all participants to achieve actionable learning.
