Research interests
My primary research focus is cancer epidemiology and pharmaco-epidemiology. I have a particular interest in how the use of anti-inflammatory drugs, particularly metformin and statins, affects short- and longterm survival as well as risk of recurrence following colorectal cancer surgery. Furthermore, I have an interest in perioperative optimization and surgical stress response.
