Research interests
My main research area is epidemiological studies on the development on mental disorders from childhood to adulthood. Currently the focus is mostly on risk and resilience factors for developing and influencing the course of eating disorders (ED) but also other mental health problems in children and adolescents. I have been involved in validation studies on ADHD, OCD and ED diagnoses in the Danish patient registers. Furthermore, I am involved in the BU-LOFUS and recent and ongoing studies address prodromal symptoms of ED, psychosis and other mental health problems in children and adolescents and their association with family and environmental factors.
