Research interests

Postdoc at NSR Hospital and Institute for Regional Health research at SDU with an academic interest in wellbeing outcomes of meaningful movement situated in the paradigm of palliative rehabilitation.

Following my Phd degree in 2021 with the title "Integrating general palliative care in a heart failure clinic – based on patients narratives" I am currently building research experiences and results within the field of palliative rehabilitation.

Palliative rehabilitation integrates the holistic model of palliative care with aims of physical, psychosocial and existential wellbeing with enablement, self-management and self-care in rehabilitation.

Within this paradigm I investigate an evolving concept of meaningful movement with the aim of developing practice to better suit the needs of people with chronic and life-threatening illness.

I primarily work within a hermeneutic phenomenological frame using qualitative methods, because to develop practice in a meaningful way we need to incorporate perspectives from lived life with illness. In addition, I use review methods to situate my work in current knowledge.
