Psykiatrien Øst has their headquarter in Roskilde and is responsible for the psychiatric treatment of adult citizens from 7 municipalities.
Psykiatrien Øst also manages the specialized treatment in Region Sjælland within dementia, schizophrenia, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, disorders for psychological development and behaviour, personality disorders, ADHD and disorders of sexual preferences.
The department also accommodates the Early Psychosis Intervention Center and the Clinic for Suicide Prevention.
The department's research interests are mainly within psychosis and personality disorders as well as recovery.
