The Department of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at Holbaek Hospital is organized to three teams in the area of rehabilitation. These three teams are REHAB (phase 2 apoplexia/geriatrics rehabilitation), ORTKIR (orthopaedics) and MEDKIR (medical/surgical rehabilitation). The department have ambulatory functions with children rehabilitation, lymphoma therapy and are involved in rehabilitation at the pain clinic, and back ambulatory, the palliative team as well as the supportive geriatric team. The purpose of rehabilitation is to help people from prevention of disease (health promotion), treatment, to long-term rehabilitation after discharge. All these rehabilitation teams provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches to health care and provide services cross departments.
