Abstract

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that is characterized by painful and suppurating lesions. Herein, we report a case of severe HS that was refractory to multiple treatments but responded rapidly to anakinra injections. and laser and surgical excision.2,3 Hidradenitis suppurativa is, however, often a therapeutic challenge. This patient had not responded to medical therapy and had disease unsuitable for surgery due to the massive extent of the lesions and the number of areas involved.
