Abstract

The present thesis covers several aspects of reproduction. First, the possible impact of HLA‐G biology and TGF‐β as well as HLA‐F and HLA‐G genetics on the pregnancy success of couples in infertility treatment is studied. Second, gene expression in paired first trimester chorion‐villus samples and term placenta samples are studied for differential expression of HLA class I genes, correlation between differential gene expression and fetal birth weight as well as fetal sex.
