Abstract
In this case report, a 19-year-old man with a history of depression presented with his fourth episode of left hemiparesis. Brain MRI was normal. Presence of Hoover's sign and inconsistent muscle strength suggested a functional neurological disorder. The patient improved with physiotherapy and recovered fully after ten days, highlighting the importance of early recognition and management of these disorders. We summarize key clinical features of functional presentations and focus on the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges these disorders present.
