The Danish Blood Donor Study

DBDS is a nationwide prosepctive cohort and biobank study on generally healthy blood donors. The study was initiated in 2010 by Ole B. V. Pedersen together with Professor Chrisitan Erikstrup and Director at SSI, Henrik Ullum. The study includes >170,000 participants, > 400,000 questionnaire responses, extensive genetic data on all participants, linkage to public health registers and >2.6 million plasma repository samples for research in early disease biomarkers.
